Femi Salami (Ph.D., P.E, MAussIMM) earned a bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering (first class honors) at the Federal University of Technology Akure (Nigeria), and a doctorate in Mining Engineering at the Missouri University of Science and Technology (USA) (formerly Missouri school of mines). Dr. Salami is seasoned mining academic and professional Mining Engineer and has received over 70 awards and recognition for his scholarly excellence in Mining Engineering.

Dr. Salami current works focus on mining innovations, energy sustainability, critical mineral development, and climate smart mining. He is a licensed mining engineer in the United Kingdom and Nigeria and holds a PE in the United States.

Additionally, Dr. Salami is a member of the honor society of geosciences (Sigma Gamma Epsilon), scientific research honor society (Sigma Xi), Society of Mining Metallurgy & Exploration (USA), International Society of Rock Mechanics (ISRM), Canadian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy, and the Amercan Exploration and Mining Association (AEMA).
